Professional Summary

I graduated from Brock University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Education for English and Theatre, where I also gained experience creating, writing and editing content not only as a student, but as a production assistant for a theatre compant, as a TA in my fifth year and as a theatre practitioner for a yearly Arts festival.

I currently work as a high school teacher with the Toronto Board, and have a strong passion for how theatre, reading and writing can connect students with their understanding of the world. Most of my extra curricular work with my students is in the world of theatre and creating equitable spaces in our schools for racialized communities. Most recently, I led students from accross Toronto to host 2021s annual Know Your Worth Conference, where 150+ students gathered virually for a day of workshops facilitated by local artists, educators, financial consultants, mental health practitioners... with the goal of bringing students together and reminding them of their excellence.

I work well in teams and enjoy taking on leadership roles when necessary. I am an adaptable and equity minded person, allowing for other voices and ideas to positively influence tasks at hand.
